Easy ways to practise core french at home
- Learn a few French words together, like bonjour, merci and au revoir.
- Label things around the house with French sticky notes.
- Count in French while climbing the stairs.
- Play a French game or watch a short French video together.

Numbers 1 to 20
Counting objects and saying the number words from un to vingt, plus the number before and after.
Question words
Common question beginnings (qui, où, quand, pourquoi, comment, combien) and answers that fit them.
Le, la, un, une, je, tu
Articles (le, la, les, un, une) and pronouns (je, tu, il, elle, nous, ils).
What the report card levels look like at home
- Beginning
- Just getting started with this idea. Short, regular practice with lots of support helps most.
- Approaching
- Understands parts of it and is building confidence. Keep practising the tricky parts.
- Meeting
- Has it! Meeting is the goal for every outcome. Mixed review now and then keeps it strong.
- Exemplary
- Applies it confidently, even in new or harder situations. Try challenge mode and real-life problems.
