What each unit covers

  1. The Circumpolar World

    Covers the Arctic Circle, Arctic peoples and the Arctic Council. The Northern Circumpolar World is a theme in the Nunavut Grade 7 social studies resources.

  2. IQ in Everyday Life

    Uses short scenarios to practise the eight Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles. Spellings vary by community.

  3. Working Together Fairly

    Children practise group skills: setting goals, resolving conflicts peacefully, negotiating, listening to understand, using respectful language and sharing their views.

Beginning
Just getting started with this idea. Short, regular practice with lots of support helps most.
Approaching
Understands parts of it and is building confidence. Keep practising the tricky parts.
Meeting
Has it! Mixed review now and then keeps it strong.
Exceeding
Applies it confidently, even in new or harder situations. Try challenge mode and real-life problems.
