What each unit covers

  1. How Nunavut Is Governed

    Introduces Nunavut's consensus government, its Legislative Assembly and the three levels of government. Facts such as the number of MLAs can change, so check gov.nu.ca.

  2. Fairness & Respect

    Practises resolving conflicts peacefully, building consensus, recognizing bias and discrimination, using respectful language, and supporting solutions to inequities.

  3. Investigate It

    Primary and secondary sources, fact versus opinion, perspective, reading thematic maps and drawing conclusions from evidence.

Beginning
Just getting started with this idea. Short, regular practice with lots of support helps most.
Approaching
Understands parts of it and is building confidence. Keep practising the tricky parts.
Meeting
Has it! Mixed review now and then keeps it strong.
Exceeding
Applies it confidently, even in new or harder situations. Try challenge mode and real-life problems.
