How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practise.

  2. Think of the multiplication fact that goes with it.
  3. Ask: what times the divisor makes the number?

Example: 20 ÷ 4 = ? What times 4 makes 20? 4 × 5 = 20. Answer: 5
